The Miss Biffin Suite

One of Duke Streets most notable residents was Sarah Biffin – Victorian English painter who was born with no arms or legs but learned how to write, paint, draw and sew using only her mouth before the age of ten.

The Royal Family commissioned her to paint miniature portraits of them. Queen Victoria awarded her a Civil List pension and she retired to a private life in Liverpool at 8 Duke Street. She is buried in St James Cemetery in Liverpool.

This Studio suite named in her honour, is adorned with an eclectic mix of artwork, you’ll find it hard not to feel inspired!

Suited for smaller groups of city-goers, the studio offers a space with a cosy and elegant atmosphere. With 1 bed and 1 sofa bed the studio sleeps up to 4 people. All this, along with a sofa, dining table and kitchen you have everything you need for your stay.
